1 egg
1 cup milk
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 tsp. salt
3 cups flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 ½ cups nuts or raisins or both

Directions:
Directions:
Mix egg, milk, sugar and shortening, add flour, salt, soda and baking powder-
fold in nuts and raisins, pour in greased loaf pan, let stand for 20 minutes in pan, bake at 350º for 45 minutes.
Cool slightly before eating.
