1 1/2 C. flour, sifted
1 tsp. baking soda
3 T. cocoa
1 C. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
5 T. oil
1 T. vinegar
1 T. vanilla
1 C. cold water

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.

Put flour, cocoa, soda, sugar and salt in a sifter. Sift into greased 9 X 9 inch pan. Make 3 hole or grooves in dry mix. Into 1 pour the oil, into another pour the vinegar and into the third hole pour the vanilla. Pour cold water over all. Beat with a spoon until nearly smooth and you can't see the flour. Bake for 30 minutes. Cool, then refrigerate.

Frosting: Combine the following ingredients and chill for an hour. Then whip until stiff and frost cooled cake:
1 1/2 C. heavy cream
1/3 C. cocoa
1/2 C. sugar
