1 head lettuce, Iceberg cut up fine.
4 stalks celery, cut into small pieces
2 sweet green peppers, chopped
1 sweet onion, finely chopped
1 package frozen peas, slightly cooked in salted water

DRESSING
1 cup sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 pound cheddar cheese, grated

Directions:
Directions:
Place salad ingredients in your best large glass bowl, in order given, saving 1/2 the lettuce as top layer.

Dressing: Mix sour cream and mayo together and spread over salad (not stirred into salad). Sprinkle sugar over above. Then cheese over all.

Cover bowl with plastic. Refrigerate for 24 hours or 8 hours at the least. This is a party favorite for it is totally ready a day ahead.
