2 eggs
2/3 c. shortening
1 pkg. (6oz) semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. butter cake mix

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375º. Beat eggs, vanilla, shortening, and about half of the cake mix (dry) until light and fluffy. Stir in remaining cake mix, chocolate chips, and nuts. Drop dough by teaspoonful about 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes (cookies will be soft in center when done). Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet.
