1 1/4 lb boneless chicken breasts, cut into 1/2 inch wide strips
1 1/4 lb steak cut into 3 inch by 1/2 inch strips

Directions:
FOR SATE
Combine first 5 ingredients in glass baking dish. Stir to dissolve sugar. Add chicken, shrimp and beef, stir to coat. Cover and marinate in fridge for 30-60 minutes.

Remove from marinade, thread on separate skewers, using about 3 shrimp or 2 pieces of chicken or 2 pieces of beef per skewer.

Prepare barbecue or preheat broiler. Grill sates until cooked through about 3 minutes per side. Place on platter.

FOR SAUCE
Place peanut butter in heavy medium saucepan. Gradually add in chicken broth and all other ingredients. Over medium-high heat, whisk until thick and smooth, about 6 minutes. Pour into a bowl and serve with sates.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
You can use bottled peanut sauce or make some from a pre-packaged envelope found in the Asian section of the grocery store and get good results, as well.

But, Lucas would drink the sauce straight from a mug if I let him...The home-made sauce is that good!
