Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Aunty Florence married Joe Fulkerth in 19__. Joe Fulkerth was renowned in Canada and the United States for his passion and knowledge of the American Saddle horse. He is featured in Grant MacEwan's book Memory Meadows, Horse Stories from Canada's Past (see chapter 30 - Rex Stonewall.) Joe was Russell Fulkerth's older brother and each raised families almost across the road from each other on their family farms east of Didsbury. Aunty Florence, Joe's third wife, was a kind soul. Everyone in our family enjoys her nut slice recipe, particularly at Christmas. Uncle Joe and Aunty Florence had one child, Rex. Uncle Joe's and Aunty Florence's home still stands. The property is now owned by Jim Brown, who farms it alongside his family with the same pride as previous generations. Who doesn't remember the many rides we all had on "Pinky!"
