1 c. unsalted butter, softened
2 c. flour
½ c. sugar
½ tsp. salt
2 egg yolks
currant jelly
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
1. In large bowl with mixer on medium speed, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

2. Beat in egg yolks and vanilla.

3. Gradually add flour and salt until well blended.

4. Refrigerate dough 1 hour.

5. Preheat oven to 350º. Work with only ¼ of dough at a time, keep remaining refrigerated.

6. Roll dough into 1 inch balls. Place on un-greased cookie sheets about 2 inches apart.

7. Using your thumb or end of a wooden spoon, make a depression in center of each ball.

8. Bake 10 minutes.

9. Remove cookies from oven. Make depression again. Fill depression with ¼ tsp. jelly and return to oven to bake 5 more minutes.

10. Cool on wire rack.

11. Repeat with remaining dough.
