1 3/4 flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
(put together in bowl and set aside)

1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar; firmly packed
1/2 cup shortening; softened
1/2 tsp baking powder
(beat together)

1 egg
2 Tbsp milk
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla
(mix all together with sugars)

Directions:
Add flour mixture -- stir. Place 1 inch balls of dough rolled in sugar on cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes at 375º. After removing cookies -- place kiss in center let set several hours.
