Ingredients:  
Cream together -
2 cups shortening
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups white sugar

Add -
4 eggs beaten
4 tsp vanilla

Mix together -
4 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp salt
1 tsp soda

Add dry ingredients to above mixture

Mix in -
2 cups of chopped nuts (optional)
2 lbs. chocolate chips
