Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This recipe honors my mom. My mom is known for her baked beans. People who don't care for baked beans love my mom's baked beans. Not only because love is the secret ingredient, but because they are sweeter than most. As you all know, our cooking never tastes as good as our mom's cooking. And now my kids continue that belief by reminding me that my cooking does not taste like Grammy's cooking. Oh well! And don't forget the saying about beans being the magical fruit :)
