1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 cups sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup chopped peanuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the shortening. Add sugar gradually and cream thoroughly. Add the beaten eggs and beat well. Sift the flour and mix with the baking powder and salt (if you are using salted peanuts, omit the salt). Add alternately with milk to the creamed mixture. Add the peanuts and mix. Drop by teaspoons full on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 400 for 10 minutes. Makes about a half dozen cookies.
