Filling:
1 tbsp unflavoured gelatin
1/4 cup cold water
4 eggs separated
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup orange juice (approximately 4 medium sized oranges)
1 tbsp lemon juice
12 tsp salt
1 tbsp grated orange rind

Crust:
9" pre-baked pie crust or graham wafer crust or oreo baking crumbs.
1/4 cup butter or margarine

Topping:
2 cups whipped cream (optional)

Crust - Graham wafer or oreo crumbs:
Melt butter or margarine, combine with crumbs. Pat lightly in pie plate or 9" spring form pan.

Filling:
In a small bowl soften gelatin in water for 5 minutes. In medium bowl beat egg yolks and add 1/2 cup sugar, orange juice, lemon juice and salt. Cook over doubleboiler until custard consistency. Remove from heat, add grated orange rind, soften gelatin and stir thoroughly. Cool. In large bowl beat egg whites until stiff, add the remainder 1/2 cup sugar. Fold in cooled custard to egg white mixture. Fill pie crust and chill.

If required, top with whipped cream before serving..
