1 cup sugar
1 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 cup milk
1 stick butter
2 1/2 cups fruit, sweetened with sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Put stick of butter in 13"x9"x2" dish. Put in oven to melt. Measure in a bowl the first 5 ingredients. Mix together and spoon over the melted butter. Spoon the sweetened fruit over batter, juice and all. Serve hot with ice cream.

Note: Peaches, cherries, berries may be used.

This is a very easy cobbler. I have been making it for over 40 years, usually on Sunday afternoons when the peaches and blueberries are in season.
