2 c. sugar
3/4 c. white syrup
1/2 c. cold water
Butter a lump the size of an egg (3T.)
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. raw peanuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cook til you can spin a thread. Add 2 cups raw peanuts and a lump of butter the size of an egg. Cook to a golden brown and peanuts begin to pop. Add 2 tsp. baking soda and 1 tsp. vanilla. Stir 1 minute. Pour onto to a well greased cookie sheet. Cool. Break up into bite size pieces.

This is the recipe that my Granny sent every year when she sent the raw peanuts from her peanut farm. I have never made it any other way. I always make several batches of this at Christmas time. Best I have ever had.
