1 cup Crisco
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla
2 ½ cups sifted flour
1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon cream of tartar

Frosting:
1/3 cup Criso
4 cups powdered sugar
½ teaspoon almond flavoring
½ teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar, add beaten eggs and vanilla, add flour, baking powder, salt and cream of tartar. Mix well then chill dough for at least 1 hour before rolling out. Bake 7 or 8 minutes at 350 degrees til barely brown.


Mix together ingredients with enough milk to make creamy; color with green, red or yellow coloring. Add sprinkles on top if desired.
