2 c. rolled oats
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. wheat germ
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. honey
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. vegetable oil
2 tsp.. vanilla extract
OPTIONAL - 3/4 c. raisins,1/2 c. nuts, 1/2 c. dried fruit, or 1/2 c. chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350º.. Grease 9 x 13 baking pan.

2. In a large bowl, mix together oats, brown sugar, wheat germ, cinnamon, flour and salt. Make a hole in the center and pour in honey, egg, oil and vanilla. Mix well.

3. Add optional ingredients, if any.

4. Pat the mixture evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bars begin to turn golden at the edges.

5. Cool for 5 minutes and cut into bars while still warm, Do not allow to cool completely before cutting as they will be too hard to cut.
