1/4 cup warm water
2 packages dry yeast
6 to 7 cups of flour
1 tsp salt
2 cups scalded milk
1/2 cup margarine or butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in warm water and set aside to proof.

Scald milk and melt butter in the milk. Mix 6 cups flour with salt and sugar in large bowl. Make a well in the middle of the flour and add cooled milk mixture and beaten eggs. Mix until dough is silky, adding the extra cup of flour, if needed.

Coat the top with crisco, cover and set aside to rise until doubled. Punch down and set aside for 10 minutes. Roll into rectangles on floured board and cut into squares and stack 3 or 4 squares with melted butter brushed in between each layer. Place the stacked squares in greased muffin tins. Cover filled muffin tins with a towel and let raise for 15 minutes or so until raised again. Brush with melted butter on tops of muffins and bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes until browned.
