Pumpkin Cookies - Frosted Recipe

2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon

1 cup butter
1 egg
1 cup sugar

1 cup canned pumpkin
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup raisins (optional)
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Sift first 5 dry ingredients. Set aside. In mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar, and egg. Beat well. Add dry ingredients. Add pumpkin and vanilla, and nuts and/or raisins, if desired.

Drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes at 350º.

For the frosting, boil together for 2 minutes:

3 tbs. butter
4 tbs. milk
1/2 cup brown sugar

After boiling, stir in 1 cup sifted powdered sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla.

Ice cookies immediately.
