1 cup brown sugar
1 cup shortening or margarine
2 eggs
½ cup Rogers corn syrup
½ tsp salt
2 small tsp soda
1 tsp vanilla
Flour to make stiff enough to roll out and cut (3 ½ - 4 cups)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream brown sugar and margarine. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Add syrup and beat. Add flour and soda until stiff dough forms. Refrigerate for one hour. Roll out. Cut with cookie cutters and bake at 375˚F for about 5 minutes. Put jam between cookies after they cool.
