½ cup soft shortening
2 ¾ cup sifted flour
1 ½ cup sugar
½ tsp soda
2 eggs
½ tsp baking powder
1 cup thick sour cream
½ tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, sugar, and eggs thoroughly. Stir in sour cream & vanilla. Stir in sifted dry ingredients. Chill 1 hour. Drop by tsp about 2” apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until delicate brown at 400˚F for 8-10 minutes. Makes 5 dozen. Ice, if desired, and add nut to top.
