8 oz. butter
¼ cup sugar
2 ½ cups flour
1 egg
¾ oz. currants
Zest of one orange

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter & sugar until fluffy. Add egg; beat well. Add finely grated orange zest & currants and mix well. Sift flour & fold in with fork until mixture forms a soft ball. Roll out 1/8 to ¼ in. thick & cut with a round fluted cookie cutter. Place on a lightly greased sheet & bake at 350º for 15 to 20 minutes until lightly golden. Sprinkle lightly with sugar or powdered sugar.
