"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Ingredients:
1 lb. butter
1 cup sugar
1 large egg
4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon vanilla
For chocolate variation, ½ square of chocolate

Directions:
Directions:
This is a spritz recipe. You can make this using any of the spritz shapes included
with your cookie press. Christmas shapes are nice when sprinkled with colored sugars. I developed the variation you had, in which I dip the ends of a simple shape into melted milk chocolate or white chocolate. These can also be sprinkled with whatever sugar colors or other flavors (cookies/cream, holiday theme specific etc.).

To dip cookies, just microwave milk chocolate or white chocolate chips according to package directions. Dip cookies carefully - cold cookies are easier to dip. Sprinkle with decorations if desired.

Place on waxed paper on a cookie sheet and freeze for a few minutes to set
the chocolate. Transfer to an airtight container and store in the freezer.
The chocolate will melt if left out too long, so consider when serving. The
square of chocolate referred to on the recipe card is a variation that can
be added to the dough mixture if you want to make chocolate cookies.
You can also use food coloring to color the dough or you can also color the white chocolate for dipping. Bake at 350 degrees about 8 – 10 minutes (don’t let them get too brown!)
