1 cup Sugar
1 cup Corn Syrup
1 cup Whipping Cream
1/4 tsp. Salt
6 tbsp. Evaporated Milk
2 tbsp. Butter
2 tsp. Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, salt, and corn syrup together in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Cook until it reaches 240 degrees (soft ball/soft caramel) or 242 degrees (firm or hardball/harder caramel) on candy thermometer or until small amount of mixture dropped into very cold water forms a ball (soft or medium ball for softer caramel, a firm ball for harder caramel).

Mix whipping cream and evaporated milk together. Gradually add to candy mixture in four additions, stirring well after each addition (about 15 minutes each). Keep candy mixture at a light boil.

Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla. Pour mixture into buttered 9x9 inch pan. Let stand for several hours. Cut before it completely cools.
