1 1/2 lbs boneless chuck
1 cup hot water
2 bay leaves
2 slices unpeeled lemon
6 peppercorns
1 tsp salt
1 envelope unflavoured gelatin
10 oz can beef consomme
1/3 cup chopped celery
1 onion finely chopped
1/4 cup diced dill pickles
parsley
stuffed olives

Directions:
Directions:
Cut meat into 1" pieces. Place in a saucepan with water, bay leaves, lemon, pepper, salt. Simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Drain, reserving the liquid.
Mix gelatin with 3 tbsp of the consomme. Let stand 5 minutes. Add the gelatin to the broth and stir over low heat until dissolved. Add the celery and the onion. Simmer for 5 minutes. Add the consomme and heat. Add the salt and pepper. Return the beef to the broth.
Put olives, pickles and parsley in the bottom of a loaf pan. Add the meat mixture and chill until firm.
