1 C sugar
1/2 C butter
4 ripe bananas
2 C flour
1 tsp. baking soda
a pinch of salt
2 eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Grease and flour a loaf pan. Beat together sugar, eggs, and butter. Add bananas and mix well (I always pre-mash my bananas but my Grandma never did). In a separate bowl SIFT together flour, baking soda, and salt, then add in 1/3 batches, incorporate all the flour into the banana mixture. Bake at 350º for approx. 60 minutes, or until toothpick is inserted and comes out clean.

This bread always makes me think of my Grandma. The smell, the taste, everything brings me back to her teaching me how to cook when I was a child. Whenever I miss her, I make this bread, and it's like she is there again.
