2 C Raisins
3 Eggs, Separated
1 C Sugar
1 C Sour Cream
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Allspice
Water
1/2 tsp Salt
1 Pastry Shell, Baked

Meringue
3 Egg Whites at Room Temperature
6 Tbs Sugar
1/4 tsp Cream of Tartar -- Pinch of Salt if Desired
1/2 tsp Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cover raisins with water, simmer gently until plump and tender and most of water is absorbed.
2. Add sugar, sour cream, and salt, stirring all together.
3. Add beaten egg yolks and cook over moderate heat until thickened.
4. Add spices and turn into pie crust.
5. Beat egg whites for meringue until peaks form.
6. Slowly add Sugar and cream of tartar.
7. When glossy, gradually add vanilla.
8. Top the pie with the meringue
