2 pounds lean pork shoulder cut in 1 inch pieces
1- 14 ounce can pineapple chunks, drained
2 cups liquid (pineapple juice and water
1/3 cup syrup,honey or table molasses
1/4 cup vinegar
1 Tablespoon soy sauce
1 green pepper, sliced vertically
1 medium onion sliced
1 1/2 Tablespoons cornstarch, dissolved in 2 to 3 Tablespoons water
hot rice

Directions:
Directions:
Brown pork pieces in a heavy skillet ,using a little canola oil if necessary. Combine liquid, syrup ,vinegar and soya sauce and pour over pork. Cover . Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer until almost tender (about 1 hour) . Add vegetables and cook 15 minutes. Stir in dissolved cornstarch and cook until thickened. Serve with hot rice.
