1 T. Crisco (you can use butter 2 T instead)
1 egg
Farina or regular Cream of Wheat if you can't find Farina.

Directions:
Add Crisco, egg, and about 1/3 of a cup of Farina together. Mix things so that you can no longer pick the Crisco out. Add Farina until it no longer sticks to the side of the bowl. Remember that the dough will expand in the soup.

This is my dad’s recipe for farina dumplings. I can remember him making them for me on my Aunt Teresa’s stove. He made chicken broth, and then the dumplings, they just melted in your mouth, so yummy. He learned to make them from his mom, my Grandma Lefkovitz (MaMa).
