1 1/2 cups all- purpose flour.
1 tsp. baking soda.
1/2 tsp. salt.
1 cup butter or margarine( 2 sticks), softened.
3/4 cup packed brown sugar.
1 large egg.
1 tsp. Vanilla extract.
3 cups old-fashioned oats, uncooked.
1 cup raisins.
1 package (6 oz or 1 cup) semi-sweet chocolate chips.

1. Preheat oven to 350º F.
2. On waxed paper, combine flour, baking soda and salt.
3. In a large bowl beat, at medium speed, butter and sugar until creamy; occasionally scraping bowl with rubber spatula.
4. Beat in egg and vanilla.
5. Reduce speed to low; gradually beat in flour mixture just until blended, occasionally scraping the bowl.
6. With spoon stir in oats, raisins and chocolate chips.
7. Drop dough by heaping tbsp. 2 in. apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
8. Bake for 13-15 min. or until tops are golden. Transfer to wire cooling racks.
