2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. Crisco
5 to 7 T. cold water

Directions:
Put the flour and salt in a shallow bowl and cut in the shortening with a pastry blender until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Sprinkle with water, a tablespoon at a time, while tossing with a fork; stir lightly until the pastry holds together. Form dough into two balls; flatten into circles 1-inch thick. Chill. Roll out on a floured surface or between wax paper into a 12-inch circle. Fit crust into pie pan. Roll out the top crust in the same way and make a few slashes in the center to allow steam to escape.
