1/2 butter or margarine
1 (3oz) cream cheese
1 cup flour (heaping)
1 pkg. pecan pieces
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 unbeaten egg
1 tbsp soft or melted butter
1 tsp vanilla
Pinch of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Soften butter and cream cheese at room temperature. Stir in flour a little at a time with a fork.
Press this mixture on a wax paper . Dough should measure 4" x 6" Mark off with a knife into 24 squares. Cool in refrigerator for about 1 hour or in the freezer for 10 minutes (or dough will be sticky.)
Take each square, roll a little in the palm of your hand press around bottom & sides of ungreased midget cupcake pan.
Put 3 or 4 small pecan or walnut pieces in the bottom of each tart.
In a small bowl mix remaining ingredients together. Put 1 tsp of filling into each tart.
Top with a nut piece. Bake for 25 minutes in a 325º oven. Take out each tart with as thin knife. Cool. Sprinkle with confectioner's sugar if desired.
