Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 Pound unsalted butter
1 Pound (about 2-3/4 Cups) semisweet chocolate chips
12 ounces (about 2 Cups) semisweet chocolate chips (these do not get melted!)
6 squares (ounces) of unsweetened chocolate
6 extra-large eggs
3 Tablespoons instant coffee granules
2 Tablespoons pure vanilla
2-1/4 Cups sugar
1-1/4 Cups all-purpose flour
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3 Cups chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Butter and flour a half-sheet pan (12 x 18 x 1 inch)

Melt together the butter, 1 pound of chocolate chips, and the unsweetened chocolate in a medium bowl over simmering water. Allow to cool slightly.

In a mixer bowl, combine eggs, coffee granules, and vanilla. Stir the warm chocolate mixture into the egg mixture and allow to cool to room temperature. If you add the nuts and chocolate chip mixture (below) too soon, it will ruin the brownies. So be patient!

In a separate bowl, sift together 1 cup of the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to the cooled chocolate mixture.

Toss the remaining 1/4 cup flour with the walnuts and 12 ounces of chocolate chips. Fold into the batter.

Spread batter into sheet pan and bang the pan (or drop on the floor) to get rid of any air bubbles. Bake for 20 minutes, bang pan again to get rid of any air between the pan and the brownie dough. Bake for another 15 minutes.

Do NOT overbake (says Ina!) Allow to cool, refrigerate, and cut into 20 huge squares or more smaller ones.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
WARNING: Your friends will either love you or hate you for making these. There's no in-between. If you catch your friends in the middle of needing a chocolate fix, they will love you. You can ask for pretty much anything you want from them while they are eating these. If, however, your friends are trying to lose weight, (or you feed them to your friends' small children who are awake all hours of the night because of the coffee in them), your friends will hate you. You will need to ask forgiveness if these brownies land a good friend in the hospital. Which has happened, but just that one time.
