4 cups chopped apples (may be chopped in a blender)
2 cups sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
1 cup chopped nuts
2 cups self-rising flour

Directions:
Directions:
Chop apples. Mix with sugar and let stand until juicy and sugar is dissolved. Mix in flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and nuts. Pour into a greased and floured 13x9 oblong pan. Bake in 350º oven for 50 minutes. Check to see if done - may have to be baked a little longer depending on oven. Doesn't need icing but you may use a white icing if you like!
