1 pint strawberries
1 cup sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. lemon juice
red food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Mash 1/2 of berries and place in heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly 5 or 6 minutes; or until mixture is clean and thick. Add lemon juice and coloring. Set aside to cool completely.
Arrange whole berries in bottom of cooked pie shell. Carefully spoon mashed berry mixture over top. Refrigerate at least 2 hours. Serve with whipped cream.
