2-2 1/2 lb. chicken, cut up
1/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. celery salt or 1/4 tsp. ground celery seed
1/4 tsp. garlic salt or 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 c. butter or margarine
1 can pineapple slices in syrup or juice
1/2 c. soy sauce
2 Tbsp. sugar
(If using celery and garlic powders rather than salt, add 1 tsp. salt)

Directions:

1. Mix flour, salt(s), garlic & celery seasonings, and nutmeg. Coat chicken pieces.
2. On stovetop, brown chicken in butter. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
3. Combine pineapple syrup or juice (about 1 cup) with soy sauce and sugar.
4. Place chicken pieces in shallow casserole, place pineapple slices on top, then pour sauce over.
5. Cover and bake for 3/4 hour to 1 hour (until tender), basting once or twice. Serve over rice.
