8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 Tbl lemon juice
1 Tbl finely chopped onion
1 tea prepared horseradish
1/4 tea chopped dill weed
1/4 garlic powder
1 can sockeye salmon, picked of bones & skin
3 Tbl chopped parsley
1/4 cup walnuts (** see variation)
salt/pepper

Directions:
In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, lemon juice, onion, horseradish, dill, salt, pepper, garlic powder until well blended. in another bowl, drain the salmon, flake it while removing any bones or skin. Then add the salmon to the cheese mixture and combine until well blended. Chill the mixture in the fridge until it is firm enough to handle and shape.

When it is chilled, shape it into a ball, then coat with parsley & walnuts. Serve with crackers.
**Or shape it into a fish shape on a platter. Use one sliced black olive with pimento as an eye. Use finely chopped pecans on the head of fish and place sliced almonds in overlapping fashion, as scales on rest of body. Use bay leaves as fins.
