Ingredients:
Elbow macaroni, cooked al dente
sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (mom just says, "use a LOT")
onion, chopped fine
evaporated milk

Directions:
Mix elbow macaroni and onions. Pour 1/4 of this mixture into a baking dish. Layer cheese on top. Pour macaroni mixture on top, and layer again with cheese. Repeat 2 more times. Top with cheese.

Mix 1 can evaporated milk with 1/2 can of water. Pour this into baking dish just until you can see some of the milk.

Bake at 350 for about an hour or until the milk has been absorbed.
