1 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 teaspoon salt
5 cups flour
3 cups all-bran cereal
2 cups 40% bran flakes
1 qt. buttermilk
5 teaspoons baking soda (add to milk)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, salt, sugar, add eggs. Mix together flour and cereals then add alternately with buttermilk creamed mixture. Pour into muffin tins. Bake at 425º for 20 minutes. (muffin batter may be stored in fridge for up to two weeks).
