2 packages yeast
1/2 cup warm water
1 T. sugar
pinch of ginger

2 cups warm water
1/2 cup sugar
2 t. salt
3 beaten eggs
3 cups flour

1/2 cup shortening
5 cups or so flour

1/2 butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve 2 packages yeast in 1/2 cup warm water. Add 1 T. sugar and a pinch of ginger.

Add 2 cups warm water, 1/2 cup sugar, 2 tsp. salt, 3 beaten eggs, and 3 cups flour. Beat until light and fluffy. Let stand

Add 1/2 cup shortening and an additional 5 cups or so flour. Let rise to double.

Roll out to about 22" across. Spread with 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 pound brown sugar, an 4 tsp. cinnamon.

Roll and fold ends. Cut and let rise. Mix 1 cup cream. 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1/3 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup chopped pecans. Pour over dough.

Bake 15- 20 minutes at 350º

Can ice with powdered sugar, butter and milk mixture when warm.

Meme actually gave this recipe to someone she met, that owns a coffee shop in Colorado. I make this recipe for neighbors and church members on Christmas Eve. They love it!
