Creamy Pear Jello Salad Recipe

1 6oz pkg. Lime Jello
2 30oz cans pears, drained
1 8oz pkg. cream cheese
1 qt. whipping cream
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 T. pure vanilla
Pecans
Maraschino cherries
Mint sprigs

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve jello in boiling pear juice and refrigerate 15 minutes to cool, before it sets.
Blend pears to puree consistency.
Blend cream cheese with pureed pears. Set aside.
Whip 2 cups cream. Set aside.
Stir pear mixture into cool jello.
Fold whipped cream into jello and pear mixture carefully just until combined.
Pour into 9"x13" dish and refrigerate several hours.
To serve:
Whip 2 cups cream until stiff, add vanilla and sugar.
Spread cream over jello.
Garnish with half pecans and half cherries and sprigs of mint, if desired.
Cut into squares or serve with a serving spoon.
