You know me....can't give you specific amounts of ingredients. I don't measure anything!

1/2 Green pepper
1/2 red pepper
1/2 onion
1 stalk celery
3 cloves garlic
1/2 stick butter
About 3 T bacon bits or fresh crispy crumbled bacon
1 tsp old bay or Chef Paul's Seafood Magic Seasoning

Finely chop (or course grind in food processor) green pepper, red pepper, celery, onion and
Garlic.
Sauté ingredients in butter for few minutes adding bacon and spices.
You can also add crushed low salt Ritz Crackers or bread crumbs if you want a crispier topping.

You can then store in refrigerator or freeze until ready to make clams.

This recipe makes enough topping to make approx 3-4 dozen clams
Open fresh clams on half shell and top each clam with topping. Bake at 375* for about 10 minutes or until hot. Don't over cook, as the clams will get rubbery.

I usually will double the recipe and freeze topping that's not used for use in the future when I just feel like picking up a few dozen clams for myself.
