12 ----------------------------- Lasagna noodles
2 cups ----------------------- Dry cottage cheese
1 large ----------------------- Egg
1 tsp. ------------------------ Onion salt
1/4 tsp. --------------------- Salt
1/8 tsp. --------------------- Pepper
2 cups ---------------------- Mashed potatoes (add spoonful of cheese whiz)
1 to 1 1/2 cups ---------- Cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup --------------------- Butter
1 large ---------------------- Onion, chopped

Boil lasagna noodles as per package directions.

In a bowl mix, cottage cheese, egg, onion salt, salt and pepper; set aside

Mash potatoes, add cheese whiz and shredded Cheddar cheese, than add this mixture to the cottage cheese mixture, mixing well.

Line a 9 x 13-inch pan with a single layer of noodles

Spread about one-half of mashed potato and cheese mixture over the noodles, place another layer of noodles over this mixture, then another layer of potato and cheese mixture. Place third layer of noodles on top.

Saute onions in the butter and pour over top.

Bake in a 350º F oven for 30 minutes.

Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
