Tweed Squares Recipe

Wet
½ cup butter or margarine
2/3 cup white sugar
1 tsp vanilla


Dry
1 1/3 cups of flour
2 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt

½ cup milk

2 egg whites

2 squares of semi-sweet chocolate grated


(set aside)


Icing
1/3 cup butter or margarine
2 cups of icing sugar
2 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla
Beat ingredients together until a pale yellow in color

Chocolate Topping
2 squares of semi-sweet chocolate melted
2 tbsp butter or margarine
Directions:
Directions:
-Bowl #1 - Beat egg whites into soft peaks and set aside.

-Bowl #2 - Grate 2 squares of semi sweet chocolate and set aside

-Bowl #3 - Cream together, butter and sugar and vanilla

-Bowl #4 - Mix together flour, baking powder and salt together

-Stir dry into wet and add the milk as you go

-FOLD egg whites and grated chocolate into batter

-Place in greased and floured pan

-Bake @ 350 for 25 minutes

-Cool cake
-Spread with icing
-Melt 2 more squares of chocolate with butter and pour over icing and spread
-Refrigerate until chocolate hardens
-Enjoy!
