- 1 lb. round steak
- 1 beef bouillon
- 1 can El Pato (mexican tomato sauce)
- salt , pepper, garlic salt, and chili powder
- serrano peppers (I use 2)
- jalapenos (I use 2)
- 1 onion
- potatoes
- flour tortillas

Directions:
Directions:
First step:
- cook the round steak in a fry pan with water added
- cut up the round steak and place in crock pot
- add 1/2 cup water, the beef bouillon, the El Pato, and the seasonings
- add the serrano and jalapeno peppers
- let cook for 5 or 6 hrs (can be varied greatly)
- half boil the potatoes

Second step (1 to 3 hours before serving):
- add diced onion
- add cubed half-boiled potatoes
- add more seasonings to taste

Serve in tortillas with fresh salsa

Alternate method if time is a consideration:
- use a pressure cooker instead of the crock pot, although finish with the second step
- Use ranch style beans instead of potatoes to eliminate the second step, and put onions in with the first step

Personal Notes:
Johnny was a pretty good cook and this recipe was one of his.
I made this for the people in my office when it was my turn to bring something for a pre Christmas treat. It got rave reviews.
