1 ½ c. sugar
1 cup butter or lard(1/2 butter-1/2 lard) (Auntie says Crisco okay for lard)
1 level tsp. soda
2 tsp. baking powder
Pinch salt
3 beaten eggs
1 cup sour or butter milk
4 c. or so flour to make soft dough
Flavor to taste-1 tsp. vanilla or lemon or nutmeg

Chill dough. Roll out. Bake. May sprinkle with sugar or cinnamon sugar
