3 cups light brown sugar
1 cup sugar
2 Tbsp all- purpose flour
2 tbsp baking powder
1 cup milk
1 cup whipping cream
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt

Directions:
butter an 8x8 inch baking pan. in a large deep sauce pan, stir together brown sugar, flour and baking powder. stir in milk and whipping cream until blended. over medium high heat, stirring just until sugar dissolves bring to boil.
the mixture will foam vigorously. then boil, uncovered, without stirring until mixture reaches a soft ball stage for about 10- 15 min. remove from heat: do not stir. let stand until mixture is warm to touch. don't worry there will be a little foam on the surface. using a wooden spoon, stir in butter vanilla and salt. continue to stir until mixture looses its sheen and turns a lighter color. about 2-3 minutes. immediate pour into pan, spreading to fill pan. cut into squares while fudge is still warm.
