1 1/2 c flour
3/4 tsp baking powder
1.4 tsp salt
6 tbsp butter
3/4 c sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/2c + 2 tbsp milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, salt and baking powder and set aside. Mix together butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at time and beat well. Add vanilla. Add flour alternately with milk. Pour into prepared cupcake tins (1/2 to 3/4 full) bake in 350 degree oven 15 - 20 minutes. Cool and frost.

BUTTERCREAM FROSTING:
1 lb confectioner's sugar, 1/2 c butter, 3 to 4 tbsp milk or cream, 1 tsp vanilla
In large bowl. mix all ingredients on low speed at first then at medium speed until well combined. Beat 1 - 2 minutes at high speed until creamy. If desired, add more milk until frosting is spreading consistency. Will frost 24 cupcakes.
