1 lb. Navy beans or white beans, cleaned and rinsed
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 cup grandma's molasses
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 onion, chopped
1 cup maple syrup
salt pork sliced

Directions:
Directions:
Soak beans in pot of water overnight.

After soaking over night, drain beans and put in pot, cover with water and parboil for about 10 minutes. Add 1/2 tsp. baking soda stir and let sit for 5 minutes. Drain (saving water).

Put beans in baking dish about 4" deep. Add all ingredients (including half of the reserved water) and salt and pepper to taste. If you need to add additional water.

Bake about 4 hour at 350º
