1 cup sifted all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup soft butter or margarine
1/2 cup desiccated coconut
1/2 cup uncooked quick rolled oats

2 eggs well beaten
1 6oz pkg. (1 cup) Chipits chocolate chips
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup walnuts
1/4 melted butter or margarine
1 tbsp. of flour

Directions:
Directions:
Set oven to 350º. Sift 1 cup flour and baking soda onto wax paper. Mix 1 cup brown sugar and 1/4 cup butter in a 1 1/2 quart bowl until crumbly. Stir in flour mixture, coconut and oats. Press firmly into a greased 9" square pan. Mix eggs, Chipits, 1/2 cup brown sugar, walnuts, 1/4 cup butter and 1 tbsp. of flour in a 1 1/2 quart bowl. Pour over bottom layer. Bake near centre of oven for 35 mins. or until cake pulls from sides of pan. Cut into 24 squares.
