2 cups milk
2 cups water
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup Cream of Wheat

Directions:
Directions:
Combine water, milk and salt just to the boiling point. Gradually add the Cream of Wheat, stirring constantly until well blended.

Return mixture to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer until thickened. Be sure to continue stirring to avoid lumps. Cool slightly and serve with brown sugar.

There was no such thing as cold cereal for the Bonner kids when we were growing up. Hot cereal in the winter was a must have and mom made the best Cream of Wheat ever !
